Winemaking holds a special place in the hearts of the Swiss. They appreciate the tireless work of the winemakers that has shaped our vineyards over the centuries. Our vines belong to our country's history, culture, environment and expertise all at once. They are emblematic of the fruitful union between man and nature. A bridge between tradition and innovation, between generations.
From 6 to 13 May 2027, our country will host the 53rd World Congress of Bacchic Brotherhoods in Lavaux. A unique event combining traditions, local heritage and conviviality. An opportunity to showcase the quality of our wines and those who make our vineyards renowned.
The international network of Bacchic Confraternities is a formidable opportunity. It plays both a social and cultural role. It shares common values around quality, whilst fostering relations between Confraternities in many countries by promoting their activities across the world.
Bacchic brotherhoods belong to those who take initiatives, who dare. Precious ambassadors in this time of crisis. Their experience helps to support our winemakers.
It is a great honour to welcome the World Congress of Bacchic Brotherhoods. An event not to be missed.
