What is the FICB Congress?
The FICB International Congress is a major event bringing together wine brotherhoods from around to celebrate wine, gastronomy, and the cultural traditions of the host country.
Why attend the conference?
This congress is a unique opportunity to discover Swiss terroirs, meet international brotherhoods and experience a cultural and gastronomic event.
Where is the congress being held?
The city of Lausanne, in the heart of Swiss wine country, is the congress's central hub. Several other regions will also be visited as part of the programme.
Is the conference taking place over several days?
The main congress programme takes place from 6 to 9 May. The extension runs from 10 to 13 May.
Who is the congress aimed at?
The congress is aimed at wine and gastronomic brotherhoods, as well as wine and gastronomic culture professionals and enthusiasts.
When will the congress take place?
The congress will take place from 6 to 13 May 2027.
What activities are on offer?
The programme includes cultural visits, tastings, a conference, official ceremonies, as well as gastronomic events in several Swiss regions.
Who is organising the conference?
The congress is organised by the Swiss Federation of Bachic and Gastronomic Brotherhoods, in collaboration with the International Federation of Bacchic Brotherhoods (FICB).

How do I register for the conference?
Registration is done online via our partner Lausanne Tourisme's platform. Each registration must be made individually. If you choose the congress hotel, you will be able to specify if you wish to share a room.
What does the inscription comprise?
The registration fee includes meals (excluding breakfasts), events, visits, tastings, and transport as part of the program. Accommodation and transfers to or from airports are not included.
Can I change my registration after it's been validated?
For any changes to a registration, please use the link provided in the confirmation email received at the end of the process.
Is there a preferential rate depending on the registration date?
Yes, a preferential rate is applied during the first few months following the opening of registrations. It will then be increased. The exact date is shown on the registration platform.
Is registration mandatory?
Yes, registration is mandatory to attend the congress and access the various planned activities.
Can I register for only a part of the congress?
The registration platform allows you to choose the Main Programme or the Main Programme & Extension. For members of the Swiss brotherhoods, daily registrations are possible.
Can accompanying persons participate?
Yes, even though each registration is individual, rooms can be shared if you choose the main hotel for the congress.
Is the number of places limited?
Yes, the number of participants can be limited to ensure optimal organisation. It is therefore advisable to register as soon as possible.

What payment methods are accepted?
A credit card is required. The most common cards are accepted.
Is my registration confirmed immediately?
Yes, your registration will be confirmed by email upon receipt of payment and validation by the organisation.
Can I cancel my participation?
Cancellation is possible subject to current conditions. It is recommended to contact the organisation as soon as possible using the information in your confirmation email.

When should I make the payment?
Payment for congress registration is required at the time of registration. If you are staying at the main congress hotel, payment for your room will be taken upon arrival.

Can I transfer my registration to another person?
In some cases, a transfer can be considered. Please contact the organisation using the details provided in the confirmation email.

What is the congress programme?
The congress offers a rich programme including various cultural, wine, and gastronomic activities.
Which regions will be visited?
The meeting point is Lausanne, but the congress will cover different regions: Lavaux, Valais, the canton of Vaud, Geneva, Gruyères and Neuchâtel.
Does the programme include tastings?
Yes, several tastings wines from each region visited are planned throughout the congress.
Can the programme change?
At this stage of the preparations, the FSCBG anticipates only minor adjustments. In the event of a significant change to the programme, registered participants will be informed by email as soon as possible.
Is the programme the same every day?
No, each day offers a different theme organised around the specialities and iconic locations of a region of Switzerland.
Which conferences are planned?
José Vouillamoz, an internationally renowned ampelographer, will give a talk on his extensive experience with grape varieties on the second day of the congress.
Are any official events being organised?
Yes, the congress includes an opening ceremony, a procession, inductions, and a closing ceremony.
Is there an extension after the main programme?
Yes, an extension is proposed from May 10th to 13th with additional activities in other regions of Switzerland.

How do I get to the conference?
The meeting point is in Lausanne. The city is easily accessible by public transport, car, or train from Geneva (GVA) and Zurich (ZRH) international airports.
Is the conference taking place in a single venue?
No, several activities are organised in different regions. The daily starting point remains the Mövenpick Hotel in Lausanne.
What are the official accommodation options?
The official congress hotel is the Mövenpick Hotel (4-star Luxury) in Lausanne. Only this hotel can be booked via the registration platform.
Is the meeting place accessible by public transport?
Yes, the Mövenpick Hotel is accessible via the Lausanne public transport network (M2 metro and buses 2 or 24, Ouchy-Olympique stop).
Where is the welcome for participants taking place?
The welcome and registration of participants takes place at theMövenpick Hotel in Lausanne, on the shores of Lake Léman.
Are the trips organised?
Yes, the planned trips as part of the programme will be by bus and are organised for participants (departure from the Mövenpick Hotel).
Can I book somewhere else?
Yes, other bookings are made independently by the participants, at their own expense. The daily meeting point remains the Mövenpick Hotel.

What time should I arrive on the first day?
We recommend arriving during the day on the 6 May 2027 to proceed with your registration and to fully enjoy the opening of the congress.
Do I need to present a ticket or a confirmation?
Yes, you are advised to present your registration confirmation (digital or printed) upon arrival.
Is there a specific badge or access required?
Yes, a badge will be given to you upon arrival. It will allow you access to activities and will contain other useful information.
Are there networking opportunities?
Yes, many convivial moments of exchange are planned, particularly during meals, tastings and official events.
Where is the participant reception?
The welcome and check-in take place at the’Mövenpick Hotel Lausanne, on the shores of Lake Léman.
What languages are spoken there?
The official language in the Lausanne region is French. Welcome will be provided in French and English. Translations will be available throughout the entire congress.
How are your days going?
Each day follows a structured programme, the timings of which will be communicated closer to the congress. Transport is provided from the Mövenpick Hotel.
What happens at the end of the congress?
The conference ends on 13 May 2027, with participants departing after the final activities and the end of the extension.
